Sylvester was at The Petruso last year and like this year, I fed him every day. I like to think he recognised me, but probably not, although he did settle into our apartment almost immediately. So maybe there was a slight recognition, or was it just the smell of the cat food tin being opened. There are lots of wild cats at The Petruso Resort in Sicily where we stay every year to run our Art Toscana Art Vacations in Italy. They don’t only get fed by us. I have seen our painters sneaking down to the supermarket to acquire cat biscuits and tins of food. We have two cats at home, but if that wasn’t the case, I would have been very tempted to bring Sylvester back with me.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
